Star gazing to Telescope making

Sky observation / Star Gazing is the hobby which one can make with almost zero cost and the biggest advantage of this hobby is wherever you are; you never feel lonely, just a glance towards Ursa Major (Sapatershi) or Cassiopeia (Sharmishtha), make you feel there are some things which are along with you all over world wherever you go.

With respect to Indian Astro (Logy/Nomy) culture, we always have some basic idea’s about the night sky. We watch eclipses and on an average every human being observes at list one eclipse may be in life time.

Our Rain culture is also base on 9 constellations which starts from Mruga ( Orion ) and ends on with Hasta. The whole system or Mathematics so meticulously designed that starting of rain season and Capricorn transit of sun is always fall on 6th/7th June and 14th of January.

Best view in night sky is the zodic sign Vrushchik (Scorpius ) from mula ( the root ) our milky way galaxy starts which cover the entire corner of the sky. This is the most fascinating view in whole night sky. As per marathi months in kartik (Nov Start ) it is visible in south sky.

Many of us develop these observation as a hobby in future and if as a serious observer, if we want to continue this hobby then after having basic knowledge of 27 nakshatras / 84 constellations and generally accepted principles of astronomy, we can proceed to telescope to get more minute details of the sky.

The Telescope is invented by a sailor who recognize the fact that things looking nearer if we observe it from combination of convex and concave mirror. With the help of this basic concept Galileo Galilei develop first astronomical telescope from which he observed the four moons of Jupiter.

After Galileo Galilei, Sir Isaac Newton had made many changes in the telescope. Newton is mainly working on aberration of light he tried to concentrate the light by using mirror in the telescope which is known as “Newtonian telescope”

Making a telescope can itself be develop as a hobby, if an attachment towards mirror grinding and experimentation on mirror is developed. Making a mirror is only the expensive and hectic part of telescope making process.

Mirror making is the toughest and most learning process in telescope making. Having one’s own telescope is giving a great joy and high level of satisfaction.

Believe me friends world there outside is fabulous and most amazing and well awesome. Still human thing that universe is infinite but remember friends for vision of an ant a sq km is also infinite unless she kept one feet ahead to walk.

There are two interesting video’s are attached with blog do see it which shows where we are in entire universe.

Balgandharva : Sound of Heaven

Hello friends!

Today i am so excite to share my experience of a worth-watch movie; "Balgandharva". Hats off to the outstanding performance of Subodh Bhave, Nitin Desai and the entire team.

At the time when India was under British rule, women were not allowed to perform on the stage. Balgandharva [Narayan Rajhans] performed female characters in many marathi musical dramas in early decades of 19th century. The movie depicts many important incidences of his life, his devotion and principles towards the art.

You can sense many touching scenes in the movie; especially the one when Narayan performs breathtaking even after hearing the news of the demise of his daughter.

Even though i am not a film scholar; i can tell you that for sure this is a masterpiece and i insist you watch this movie and you will be glad.
