शब्दोत्सव

नमस्कार मित्रानो,
आज फार दिवसांनी परत एकदा ब्लॉग वर माहिती टाकायची नव्हे मांडण्याची संधी आली आहे. कालच खरे तर विक्रम नाम संवत २०६८ सुरु झाले. खरे तर दिवाळी म्हणजे गोड धोडाची रेलचेल आणि झकास मध्ये निरनिराळ्या ठिकाणचे नवनवीन लेख.
त्यातीलच एका लेख मध्ये असे वाचनात आले कि दिवाळी जेव्हा येते तेव्हा खरे तर आपल्याला नवीन वर्षाची चाहूल लागलेली असते आणि जर नवीन वर्षाचे नियोजन आता पासूनच सुरु केले तर आपल्याला खूप गोष्टी योग्य त्या पद्धतीने करता येतील.
मध्यंतरी या ब्लॉग वर काही लेख टाकता आले नव्हते पण आता इथून पुढे शक्य तितका प्रयत्न राहील कि सतत काहीतरी नवीन या ब्लॉग च्या वाचकांना मिळत राहील. या ब्लॉग चा एकमेव उद्धेश हा आहे कि फक्त ज्ञान वाटत राहणे आणि हि दिवाळी ते पुढची दिवाळी हा शब्दोत्सव सतत साजरा करत राहायचे आणि त्यात नाविन्य नक्कीच मिळत राहील.
याची सुरुवात हि मी एका गोष्टी पासून करणार आहे जो माझा सगळ्यात आवडता प्रांत आहे.
गोष्टीचे नाव आहे "कढी"
आपल्या सर्वाना अकबर बिरबलाची हि गोष्ट माहित आहे ज्यामध्ये बादशहा अचानक विचारतो आणि काय होत बिरबल तो हि त्याच हजरजबाबी पणाने सांगतो कि महाराज फक्त कढी होती या वर खुश होउन बादशहा त्याला as usual दहा मोहरा भेट देतो.
आता तो काळ मागे गेला मित्रानो आणि आता आपल्याला पदोपदी असे कात्रीत पकडणारे भरपूर जण भेटतात त्या सगळ्यांना जर पुरून उरायचे असेल तर आपल्याला हि कढी कायम लक्षात ठेवावी लागणार आहे.
मित्रानो गोष्टी जुन्याचा आहे चला आता त्या नवीन चष्म्यातून पाहू खूप काही वेगळे दिसेल हे नक्की.

Star gazing to Telescope making


Sky observation / Star Gazing is the hobby which one can make with almost zero cost and the biggest advantage of this hobby is wherever you are; you never feel lonely, just a glance towards Ursa Major (Sapatershi) or Cassiopeia (Sharmishtha), make you feel there are some things which are along with you all over world wherever you go.

With respect to Indian Astro (Logy/Nomy) culture, we always have some basic idea’s about the night sky. We watch eclipses and on an average every human being observes at list one eclipse may be in life time.

Our Rain culture is also base on 9 constellations which starts from Mruga ( Orion ) and ends on with Hasta.The whole system or Mathematics so meticulously designed that starting of rain season and Capricorn transit of sun is always fall on 6th/7th June and 14th of January.

Best view in night sky is the zodic sign Vrushchik (Scorpius ) from mula ( the root ) our milky way galaxy starts which cover the entire corner of the sky. This is the most fascinating view in whole night sky. As per marathi months in kartik (Nov Start ) it is visible in south sky.

Many of us develop these observation as a hobby in future and if as a serious observer, if we want to continue this hobby then after having basic knowledge of 27 nakshatras / 84 constellations and generally accepted principles of astronomy, we can proceed to telescope to get more minute details of the sky.

The Telescope is invented by a sailor who recognize the fact that things looking nearer if we observe it from combination of convex and concave mirror. With the help of this basic concept Galileo Galilei develop first astronomical telescope from which he observed the four moons of Jupiter.

After Galileo Galilei, Sir Isaac Newton had made many changes in the telescope. Newton is mainly working on aberration of light he tried to concentrate the light by using mirror in the telescope which is known as “Newtonian telescope”

Making a telescope can itself be develop as a hobby, if an attachment towards mirror grinding and experimentation on mirror is developed. Making a mirror is only the expensive and hectic part of telescope making process.

Mirror making is the toughest and most learning process in telescope making. Having one’s own telescope is giving a great joy and high level of satisfaction.

Believe me friends world there outside is fabulous and most amazing and well awesome. Still human thing that universe is infinite but remember friends for vision of an ant a sq km is also infinite unless she kept one feet ahead to walk.

Balgandharva : Sound of Heaven


Hello friends!

Today i am so excite to share my experience of a worth-watch movie; "Balgandharva". Hats off to the outstanding performance of Subodh Bhave, Nitin Desai and the entire team.

At the time when India was under British rule, women were not allowed to perform on the stage. Balgandharva [Narayan Rajhans] performed female characters in many marathi musical dramas in early decades of 19th century. The movie depicts many important incidences of his life, his devotion and principles towards the art.

You can sense many touching scenes in the movie; especially the one when Narayan performs breathtaking even after hearing the news of the demise of his daughter.

Even though i am not a film scholar; i can tell you that for sure this is a masterpiece and i insist you watch this movie and you will be glad.

The Day

Today's title of the blog is little bit funny as we always know that there is a day and not "The Day."
But friends many time it happens to us there are certain days in our life which we always remember till the end of life time.

As it is rightly said by Mr. King Khan Or Omprakash Makhija "When you wake up from the round bed before your feet touch to land one servent is going to put Silk Chappal in your feet, and the other one is waiting for a glass of juice in his hand and etc, etc, etc, But this is not going to be happen in everybody's life therefore we are paying for the Movie ( As usual Indian Cinema )

There are certain days which come in our ordinary life which are pre-decided on that day when you get up with lots of worry about what is going for the whole day and with this thought you get ready and come out you came to know that every thing is going in very fine tune or special manner for me the greatest sing of this finest day is "Radio Playing all your favorite Songs" your all pre decided work is going to get complete and everyone is just ready to help you."Mano ki Sari Kayanat Tumhare Liye Joot Jati ho" {Again Too Filmy}

And this is the day my friend at the end of which you think " What a wonderful day is; if today even I bet on a loosing horse then also he is going to win, But alas The day was over". Still we have great satisfaction in our mind about this fabulous day which is the "The Day."

Hope this day will arrive in everybody's life when they desire so !

Infinite Possibilities.......

There are infinite amounts of the most wonderful things " in the universe". It can be love, beauty, trust, stars and knowledge too. The universe is an extremely beautiful place and the more we understand about it; the more beautiful does it appear.

The reason why the universe is eternal is that it does not live for itself, it gives life to others as transforms.

There are no extra pieces in the universe as everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle. There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving and that is your own self. Now there are many ways to improve ourselves like physical, mental, social, moral and knowledge wise too.

Mesmerizing Antarctica !!

Hello friends!

I would like to share some information about one of the worlds natural wonder...Antarctica! I am truly mesmerized with it's overwhelming beauty. Antarctica is perhaps the most mystical of all the continents and also the most misunderstood.

Antarctica and Arctic often are confused by many peoples. Antarctica is the land mass at the south pole the one with the cute Penguins. The arctic consists of ocean surrounded by continental land masses and islands.

Name:

Antarctica gets its name from the Greek. More than 2000 years ago, Greek writers described a large mass of land in the south of the world. Even though they had never seen it, they believed it must exist so that it could 'balance' the land they knew about in the northern half of the world. They named this imagined land 'Anti-Arkitos, meaning the 'opposite of the Arctic'.


Antarctica is twice the size of Australia and it is the dreamland for those who love ice, snow and water. The enormous ice shelves and the mountain ranges of the Antarctica will not leave us unsatisfied. Nothing is equivalent to Antarctica when it comes to natures grandeur.

Government :

The continent has no government and is not owned by any country. Many countries have claimed the continent at one time or another. There is also another law called the 'Antarctic Conservation Act'. This applies to everyone except people who are authorized.

There is also no official flag for Antarctica - mostly because there is no government or other authority to adopt such a flag. The various Antarctic Treaties make it clear that no one country can claim any part of that continent as a political possession.

It is Earths fifth largest continent and is covered almost completely in ice. Antarctica covers Earths South Pole. It has just two seasons : Summer and Winter, and it has six months of daylight in its summer and six months of darkness in its winter.

Every year coasts around Antarctica freeze and only the biggest ships can break the ice. All and all, Antarctica is an amazing place. Contrary to popular assumptions it is one of the driest place on earth as there has been no rainfall or snow over 100 years; yet holds 90 percent of the fresh water on the planet. This contradiction is just one of many that arise when considering this amazing continent.

Antarctica doesn't have anyone who was born there or whose ancestors come from there. It was the first and only continent that was " discovered ". Other continent already had plenty of people before any " explores " arrived. "No one had ever even seen Antarctica before 1820."

Global Warming Effect :

One big global warming effect is the melting of ice and snow in the Antarctica Peninsula. This can lead to increased sea levels , which can have effect i.e global wide. The global warming effect on Antarctica can have devastating results for the entire world. Coastal lands of every continent may become flooded due to rising sea levels.

Airports :

There are as such no developed airports for public access or landing facilities. There are 32 airports in Antarctica out of which none are paved. There are also 53 heliports in Antarctica.

Communication :

There are no main telephone lines in use or no mobile lines. There are local telephone lines. There are radio, AM NA, FM 2. But as Ham Radio came to rescue many of the communication is performed by these radio waves. There is 1 television cable system with only 6 channels.

It is said that global warming could kill many animals, and that man may in fact destroy a good part of this planet. We need to save our planet.

The Golden Proportion

The Divine Proportion

The Golden section or the Divine Proportion is a visual representation of a number called Phi (pronouned fi). Phi is a number produced by bisecting a line at a particular time. Phi is 1.618033988749895, or by the numerical sequence called the Fibonacci Sequence.

The Phi is Evident everywhere in the universe - Nature, Space, Physics, Mathematics, Art and Design. Phi creates the Divine Proportion ( so called by the renaissance artist because of its abundance in the known universe, they thought it was created by God.)

Fibonacci Series

Leonardo Fibonacci discovered the series which converges on phi. In the 12th century he discovered a simple numerical series that is the foundation for an incredible mathematical relationship behind phi.

Starting with 0 and 1; each new number in the series is simply the sum of the two before it.

0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144,.....

The ratio of each successive pair of numbers in the series approximates phi (1.618...) as 5 divided by 3 is 1.666...., and 8 divided by 5 is 1.60

A Brief History of the Golden Ratio

No one knows for certain exactly when the Golden Ratio was first discovered. Many believe that throughout history different ancient peoples discovered it; may have called it by different names.

Example of the Golden Ratio and its applications throughout history include:

1. The Egyptians in the design of the pyramids as early as 2575 B.C

2. The Greeks in the design and proportions used in building the Parthenon from 448 - 432 B.C.

3. Ancient Greek artists such as Phidias (500 - 432 B.C ) and philosophers including Plato (428 -347 B.C) studied and used the Golden Ratio in their works.

4. In his thirteen volume work Elements the mathematician Euclid, referred to a dividing line at the point of 0.6180399. He explained it as the way to divide a line in the extreme and mean ratio. Euclid wrote Elements in approximately 300 B.C

5. The Fibonacci Series was discovered in 1200 A.D

Prove it !

Don't believe it? Take honeybees, for example. If you divide the female bees by the male bees in any given hive, you wlii get 1.618. Sunflowers , which have opposing spirals of seeds have a 1.618 ratio between the diameters of each rotation. This same ratio can be seen in relationships between different components throughout nature.

Still don't believe it? Need something's that easily measured? Try measuring from your shoulder to your fingertips,and then divide this number by the length from your elbow to your fingertips. Or try measuring from your head to your feet, and divide by that the length from your belly button to your feet. Are the results the same? Somewhere in the area of 1.618?

The golden ratio is seemingly unavoidable.

घेता
देणाऱ्याने देत जावे;
घेणाऱ्याने घेत जावे.

हिरव्यापिवळय़ा माळावरून
हिरवीपिवळी शाल घ्यावी;
सहय़ाद्रीच्या कडय़ाकडून
छातीसाठी ढाल घ्यावी.

वेडय़ापिशा ढगाकडून
वेडेपिसे आकार घ्यावे;
रक्तामधल्या प्रश्नांसाठी
पृथ्वीकडून होकार घ्यावे.

उसळलेल्या दर्याकडून
पिसाळलेली आयाळ घ्यावी;
भरलेल्याशा भीमेकडून
तुकोबाची माळ घ्यावी.

देणाऱ्याने देत जावे;
घेणाऱ्याने घेत जावे;
घेता घेता एक दिवस
देणाऱ्याचे हात घ्यावे!
